You're changing platform and the risk is measured in revenue.

One of these situations may sound familiar.

There's a launch date and nobody has looked at SEO

The project moves through design and development, and visibility always comes in at the end, when there's no room left.

You're changing domain or merging several sites

You have to decide what stays, what merges and what disappears, and each decision has a traffic cost.

You migrated once and it went badly

This time you want someone who has seen the problem before and knows what to check in staging.

The new site is prettier and has less content

The redesign simplified templates and along the way dropped pages that were bringing demand.

Nobody has the list of current URLs

There's no inventory, no redirect matrix, and launch day gets improvised.

The scope

We support from platform choice through ninety days after launch: URL inventory, content and structured data parity, redirect matrix, staging QA, launch-day cover and post-launch monitoring.

We don't implement redirects or touch your repository. We provide the decisions, the matrix and the acceptance criteria, and your team deploys.

How we work it

Four areas ordered by the project calendar: before, right before, launch day and after.

01

Inventory and parity

Know what you have today and what can't be lost.

See the detail
  • URL inventory with traffic, links and associated conversion
  • Content, metadata and structured data parity by template
  • List of blockers that stop the launch

02

Redirect matrix

Every old URL gets a destination that makes sense.

See the detail
  • One-to-one mapping of the URLs that matter, with no blanket homepage redirects
  • Rules for repeated patterns and for what disappears
  • Review of chains, loops and response codes

03

Staging QA

Find the problems while they're still free.

See the detail
  • Crawl of the staging environment with the same criteria as production
  • Review of performance, indexability and rendering
  • Signed go-live checklist before deployment

04

The following ninety days

Spot the deviation before it becomes a drop.

See the detail
  • Daily monitoring in the first weeks, by page type
  • Comparison against the pre-launch reference
  • Prioritised fixes for whatever shows up after launch

Who does it?

MJ leads the migration criteria and the specialist team runs the technical work, with experience in platform changes on Salesforce, Magento, Shopify, SAP and AEM.

Why Laika?

Most migration drops were decided months earlier.

That's why we ask to come in at design phase, not launch week. If you call us after migrating we'll still look, but the room to act is different.

  • We work with your development team, not against it

Tickets with acceptance criteria, in their format and their release rhythm.

  • You always talk to whoever decides

There's no management layer between you and the judgement. MJ leads the strategy and the specialist team executes.

  • Cover on launch day

We're available when it deploys, which is when it's decided whether the migration goes well.

  • If we're not the right fit, we say so

Even if that means there's no project for us, or that what you need is something we don't sell.

Frequently asked questions

When should we call you?

As soon as the decision to migrate exists, before templates and architecture are locked. That's where most of the damage is avoided.

Can you guarantee we won't lose traffic?

We don't guarantee numbers. We do reduce avoidable risk and tell you in advance which losses are structural to the change you've decided.

And if we already migrated and traffic dropped?

Then the right move is a drop diagnosis: we rebuild what changed and which part is recoverable.

Tell us about your migration

With the source and target platform, the planned date and who develops, we'll tell you at what phase we'd come in.

Tell us like you'd tell a colleague: no jargon needed.

We only use this to reply to you.

Do you have a launch date?

The earlier we look at the project, the less room for error on launch day.
